Announcement Of New Appointments
KUALA LUMPUR – Media Prima Berhad, the parent company of the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd, announced several key appointments today.
Big Tree Outdoor Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Mohammad Azlan Abdullah has been appointed as chief operating officer of NSTP and designated successor to Datuk Anthony Firdauz Bujang as NSTP CEO.
Anthony will end his tenure as NSTP chief executive officer in December after serving 12 years with Media Prima.
Veteran journalist Abdul Jalil Hamid is also poised to be the new NSTP group managing editor. He will succeed Datuk Zainul Ariffin Mohamd Isa, who will assume two new roles, as NSTP e-Media managing editor and Media Prima’s New Media Division head.
Meanwhile, Datuk Mohd Ashraf Abdullah has been appointed deputy managing editor of Media Prima’s Television and Radio Networks, overseeing news and editorial operations of TV3, ntv7, 8TV, Hot FM, Fly FM and One FM.
Jeff Cheah See Hong has been appointed Big Tree Outdoor Sdn Bhd chief operating officer, succeeding Mohammad Azlan, while Farisha Pawanteh will resign as Primeworks Studio Sdn Bhd chief operating officer.
