Petronas team gets glimpse of NSTP archiving system

KUALA LUMPUR – Six members of Petronas’ media relations department visited Balai Berita yesterday to discuss possible avenues of cooperation.
Petronas was interested to learn about The New Straits Times Press’ archiving system, while NSTP sought to build stronger relations and acquiring up-to-date information from Petronas.
Another issue raised was Petronas’ Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid) project in Pengerang, Johor.
The dialogue was headed by NSTP group managing editor Abdul Jalil Hamid and Petronas corporate affairs division general manager Abdul Rahim Mydin.
Petronas was also represented by media relations department managers Juliana Omar and Azeman Said and executives Emma Melissa, Auliya Rasyid and Norul Hana Othman.
“The visit gave us the opportunity to mull over things and bounce ideas off each other,” said Juliana. The group was later given a tour of the New Straits Times (NST), Berita Harian (BH) and Harian Metro’s (HM) newsrooms.
Present were NST group editor Datuk Syed Nadzri Syed Harun, HM group editor Datuk Mustapa Omar and deputy group editor Abdul Ghafar Ismail and BH deputy group editor Mahfar Ali.
