BH’s new look wows readers

Kuala Lumpur – Readers across the board said the revamped look was fresher, more attractive and featured a balanced content of news that catered to all age groups.
New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd chief executive officer Mohammad Azlan Abdullah said the revamp was expected to boost circulation by 250,000 copies.
“BH is now thicker, more compact and filled with news covering various issues which are neatly organised in a more cheerful layout,” Azlan said at the BH promotional team flag-off ceremony at Balai Berita, Bangsar, here yesterday.
Also present was Berita Harian executive news editor Norhayati Said.
Azlan, who helped promote the newspaper in Setiawangsa, Keramat and Wangsa Maju, said the sale and promotion of the daily would be carried out nationwide.
“Besides the Klang Valley, we plan to promote BH in Johor Baru during the TV3 Jom Heboh Carnival and also in Langkawi, where the Langkawi International Fishing Tournament (LIFT) is currently being hosted.”
In Langkawi, Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) chief executive officer Tan Sri Khalid Ramli and Media Prima Bhd news and editorial operations executive director Datuk Ahmad A. Talib, distributed 500 copies of the newspaper here.
LADA, a co-sponsor of LIFT 2012, also announced that it would provide free copies of BH to 33 schools on the island.
From Sept 26, the primary schools here will receive 30 copies every Monday, while the secondary schools will get 30 copies every Wednesday.
In Malacca, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam praised BH’s new look and said it offered an interesting and innovative read.
“The newspaper will appeal to today’s readers, especially the younger generation.”
In Putrajaya, Berita Harian group editor Datuk Mior Kamarul Shahid led a promotional team in distributing 520 copies to visitors of the Floria Putrajaya 2012 festival here.
The revamp saw an enhanced design and new look, refreshed editorial content and the tagline, “one for all”.
The cover price remains at RM1.50 on weekdays and RM2 on Sundays.
