Tan Sri Mohamed Jawhar

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohamed Jawhar Hassan was appointed to the Board of The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad on 19 August 2005, and was subsequently appointed as its Chairman on 27 June 2006.
Tan Sri Jawhar served with the government for over 20 years holding various prominent positions before joining the Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia in May 1990 as Director-General and later as Chief Executive Officer. He is presently Chairman of the Institute.
Tan Sri Jawhar held positions such as Member of the Economic Council; Member of the National Unity Advisory Panel; Co-Chair of the Network of East Asia Think-Tanks (NEAT); Chairman of the Malaysian National Committee, Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC); Co-Chair of the Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific (CSCAP); Member of the Expert and Eminent Persons Group of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF); Board Member of the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies; and Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations, Malaysia.
At present Tan Sri Jawhar sits on the board of Media Prima Berhad and its subsidiary, Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad. He also sits on the board of Affin Bank, Affin Islamic Bank Berhad and Ekuiti Nasional Berhad. He is also a Member of the Advisory Panel, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MAAC).
Mohammad Azlan Abdullah

Encik Azlan was appointed as the CEO of The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad beginning 1 January 2012 after assuming the position of COO on 15 October 2011.
A graduate from the University of Tasmania, Australia in Bachelor of Business Degree (Accountancy), Enck Azlan is also a member of the Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) Australia and Chartered Accountant, Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
He started his career in 1991 with Coopers & Lybrand before joining Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan (PLUS) Berhad a year later. During his time with PLUS from 1992 to 1999, Encik Azlan gained experience in pre and post construction of the development of the North-South Expressways privatization project. In 1999 he joined the President’s Office of the Renong Group (Property Division), overseeing the overall financial and operational performance of nine property companies within the group.
In 2001 he joined Big Tree Outdoor Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s leading outdoor advertising company as General Manager, successfully climbing up the corporate rank to become its CEO in January 2009. During his time with Big Tree, the company succeeded to increase its market share to 43% in 2010 with the expansion of concessions, despite fierce market competition. In 2007 Big Tree Outdoor came into the fold of the Media Prima Group, the premier integrated media investment group in Malaysia.
Datuk Ahmad bin Abd Talib

Datuk Ahmad Abd Talib was appointed to the Board of NSTP on 1 July 2009 as Executive Director, Editorial.
Datuk Ahmad started his career in journalism starting as a reporter with BERNAMA in 1972. He later joined Business Times (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (then known as Financial Publications Sdn Bhd) in 1978 and later joined Berita Harian in 1985.
In 1987, Datuk Ahmad became Assistant Editor of Berita Harian. Shortly after that he joined New Straits Times as News Editor. He rose through the ranks, becoming Chief News Editor, Associate Editor and Assistant Group Editor between 1991 to 1996.
Datuk Ahmad was promoted to Group Editor, New Straits Times in 1998. He was later re-designated as Group General Manager, Communications and Editorial Marketing in 2004. Datuk Ahmad opted for early retirement from the NSTP Group in 2005 before rejoining again in 2009.
Besides his position in NSTP, Datuk Ahmad also serves as Executive Director, News and Editorial Operations, Media Prima Berhad, the holding company of NSTP. In addition to the above, Datuk Ahmad also sits on the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Salam and Yayasan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Malaysia.
Dato' Fateh Iskandar bin Tan Sri Dato' Mohamed Mansor

Dato’ Fateh Iskandar Tan Sri Dato’ Mohamed Mansor or better known as Dato’ FD Iskandar, was appointed to the Board of NSTP on 4 September 2009.
Dato’ FD Iskandar holds a Bachelor of Law and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Queensland, Australia. He practiced law in Australia before coming back to Malaysia to join Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (KPS) as its Corporate Manager. In 1992 he left KPS to join Glomac Berhad as General Manager, Business Development. Rising up through the corporate ladder, he was appointed to the Board of Glomac Berhad in February 1997.
Dato’ FD Iskandar is currently Group Managing Director / CEO of Glomac Berhad, one of the major properties development companies in Malaysia. He also sits on the board of Media Prima Berhad, the leading integrated media investment group in Malaysia, and Axis-Reits Managers Berhad, the first REIT company to be listed on Bursa Malaysia. In addition, he is Deputy President of The Real Estate & Housing Developer’s Association (REHDA) Malaysia.
Dato’ FD Iskandar is a Director of Malaysian Property Incorporated (MPI), a partnership between Government and the private sector that was established to promote property investment among foreigners in Malaysia, as well as the Deputy Chairman of the Malaysian Australian Business Council (MABC). With more than 20 years involvement in the property development industry, his vast experience and expertise has made him a well-known and respected figure both locally and in the international arena.
Dato' Amrin bin Awaluddin
Non-Independent Non-Executive Director
Dato’ Amrin Awaluddin was appointed to the board of NSTP on 4 September 2009. He is currently Group Managing Director of Media Prima Berhad, the holding company of NSTP.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Acadia University, Canada and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) with distinction from University of Hull, England.
Dato’ Amrin was attached to the President’s Office of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad in 1999 to 2000, before joining Putera Capital Berhad in 2001 as Chief Operating Officer.
He subsequently joined TV3 in 2001 and since then has held various key positions within TV3 and Media Prima Berhad, the largest integrated media investment group in Malaysia. He was Chief Financial Officer of TV3 in 2001 before becoming the Group CFO of Media Prima Berhad in 2003. Subsequently he was appointed as CEO of ntv7 in 2006 and later CEO of TV3 in 2008. Dato’ Amrin was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Media Prima Berhad in June 2009 before his appointment as Group Managing Director in September 2009.
Besides being a director of NSTP, Dato’ Amrin also sits on the board of other Media Prima's subsidiaries, namely, Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad, Synchrosound Studio Sdn Bhd, Primeworks Studios Sdn Bhd and Alt Media Sdn Bhd.
