» On December 20, The Sunday Times, was launched.
Circulation was 10,000.
1934
» First delivery of The Sunday Times to Kuala Lumpur and Penang by air.
1942
» On February 15, the last issue of The Sunday Times before Japanese Occupation was published.
1945
» On September 23, The Sunday Times resumed publication with a four-page issue.
1974
» On October 6, The New Sunday Times ceased distributing the
Asia Magazine freely. Asia Magazine was then sold at 20 sen per copy every fortnightly.
1991
» On March 4, The New Sunday Times’ junior tabloid magazine,
Sunday Style was launched.
1998
» On September 19, Cars, Bikes and Trucks a weekly pullout with
Sunday Style, was launched.
2001
» New Sunday Times’ Higher Education pullout was launched on October 14.
» On September 16, New Sunday Times 'Focus' section was launched.
2002
» On October 20, first issue of Learning Curve was launched to
replace Higher Education section.
2003
» On January 5, a new magazine, Nuance was launched to replace the
Sunday Style.The magazine is aimed at the advertising market for luxury and high end goods.
2004
» On July 4, Sunday People was launched to replace Nuance.
Nuance's last issue was on June 27.
» On September 5, New Sunday Times was published in a compact
version along with the broadsheet version. The compact version will be distributed in the
Klang Valley area.
» On October 3, the New Sunday Times compact was available nationwide.
2005
» On April 16, the New Sunday Times ceased publishing
their broadsheet version. The last issue of the broadsheet version was published on April 10, 2005.
» On April 17, 2005, the New Sunday Times was printed in the new compact
version-half the size of the broadsheet.At the same time, it introduced a new masthead.
