KUALA LUMPUR: New Straits Times Press (M) Berhad has proven its continued relevance by being awarded The BrandLaureate BestBrands Award for Longstanding Excellence in Media and Journalism (2022-2023).
The award was presented by the president of The BrandLaureate, Prof Dr KK Johan, to the group managing editor of the New Straits Times Press (M) Berhad (NSTP), Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman and the group editor of the New Straits Times, Farrah Naz Abd Karim.
KK Johan stated that the award, now in its eighth year, aims to celebrate the “great journey” of each brand that has successfully faced challenges and remained steadfast in their goals and vision.
He mentioned that each celebrated brand not only exceeded expectations but also set a benchmark by embodying the spirit, authenticity and capability to create positive changes in business and society as a whole.
“Behind each brand’s success story, we find undivided commitment, innovative thinking and a dedication to excellence. While achieving success is important, the greatest glory lies in the process of overcoming difficulties to determine our greatness.
“Today, your brand is evidence of the power of determination and innovation, where you not only accept challenges but use them as stepping stones to success,” he said at the award presentation ceremony held here last night.
At the event themed “Always be the brand champion, no matter what, no matter how, no matter when,” around 50 renowned brands received their respective awards.
In this regard, KK Johan emphasised the determination of each brand to continue moving forward and facing challenges with courage.
“Don’t be afraid to fall, realise that the journey won’t always be smooth, but that’s where greatness is achieved when there is strength, determination and potential.
“Their achievements truly deserve recognition and with this award, we hope they will continue to lead positive transformations and carve new successes. In conjunction with Malaysia’s Merdeka Month celebration, we also recognize their invaluable contributions to the country, economy and society,” he said. – NST Online | BH Online
