KUALA LUMPUR: Istana Negara distributed 450 servings of ‘bubur lambuk’ to media practitioners at the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd (NSTP) in Balai Berita, Bangsar today.
The Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara, Datuk Zailani Hashim said the ‘bubur lambuk’ is special because it uses His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia’s recipe from Istana Johor.
“A total of 1,200 servings of ‘bubur lambuk’ have been distributed to three locations: NSTP, Bernama, and Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL).
“This marks our first week of distributing ‘bubur lambuk,’ and we will continue to distribute to specific locations throughout this Ramadan.
“With this small gesture from His Majesty and the Queen, we hope to bring joy to those receiving it for iftar today,” he said.
He mentioned that Istana Negara has distributed 1,200 servings of bubur lambuk today and may add up to 2,000 more servings according to current needs.
“His Majesty will also donate 25,000 kilograms of rice throughout the Federal Territories during Ramadan from His Majesty’s personal contribution,” he said. – NST Online | BH Online | HM Online
