PUTRAJAYA: The Karnival Jom Heboh (KJH) at Presint 3 here is featuring a showcase of illuminated dinosaurs at the New Straits Times Press Bhd’s Dinoland booth starting today.
Set in a dark background, visitors can get up close with the glowing giant robotic dinosaurs, which is a one-of-a-kind experience for children.
NSTP circulation general manager Prakash Munusamy said visitors can purchase entrance tickets at RM20 and have the chance to take one family photo with the dinosaurs.
He added that those who purchased entrance tickets to Dinoland also have the opportunity to buy tickets to the Splash Mania waterpark in Gamuda Cove, Dengkil, at a special combo price. This offer is limited to 150 early birds.
He said that since the opening at 10 am today, Dinoland has already received many visitors.
“Today is the first day it’s open. Considering it is a working day, the number might not be that high and is expected to increase on the weekend with a target of 3,000 ticket buyers,” said Prakash today.
Organised by Media Prima Bhd, KJH Putrajaya is open from 10am to midnight, offering various family activities and sales of food and other products.
Splash Mania, a waterpark spanning 6.47 hectares built by Gamuda Land, was opened to the public in February last year.
It offers 39 attractions, including 24 water slides, and can accommodate 4,000 visitors at a time.
Various activities are also held at the NSTP booth in KJH, including lucky draws and the distribution of goodie bags, besides showcasing the products by Media Prima companies like TV3, TV9, NTV7, Tonton, WOWShop, New Straits Times (NST), Berita Harian (BH) and Harian Metro (HM) newspapers.
Visitor Norhayati Md Noor, 46, from Kajang, said Dinoland was something unique because the robotic dinosaurs seemed life-like, which was exciting for her children.
Hayati who is also a teacher at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kajang Utama, said she was interested in visiting KJH Putrajaya through advertisements aired on TV3.
